His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman last night watched the final of the Aewon Open Badminton Championship 2021. The championship was held in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 75th Birthday Celebration. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's son, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim participated in the Under 14 Men's Doubles. Also in attendance was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah. The championship took place at the Youth Centre in the capital.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness were greeted by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim and Dessen Chung Min Tin met duo Md Talipuddin Ermadena and Mohd Haziq Rozi. The match was won by Md Talipuddin and Mohd Haziq, in straight sets 10-21, 13-21.

Prizes were presented by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The championship is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Brunei Muara District Office, Ministry of Home Affairs and the Brunei Darussalam National Badminton Association.
