Adulterated Products

A Cosmetic product and a Health product have been found to be adulterated with undeclared, banned ingredient or scheduled poisons listed in the Poisons Act 1956. The Ministry of Health in its press release informed that the findings were the result of laboratory tests by the Pharmacy Division, Department of Scientific Services.

The affected Health products are HKT Herba Kurus Tradisi Qayra Beauty Empire and RISSA SKIN, Skin Treatment Lotion from Malaysia. The adulterants found in the products can cause adverse effects that are potentially hazardous. The Cosmetic Notification Letter for the affected cosmetic products has been withdrawn by the Ministry of Health. The products are not allowed to be imported and sold in the country. Members of the public who have purchased or used these products are advised to stop using them immediately.
