Add-On Vaccination Slots Starting 5 October 2021

The Minister of Health also informed that by 1st of October 2021, 2,230 individuals have received the COVID-19 vaccine injection. Under the National Vaccination Programme, 296,142 individuals have received the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine which is 65.3% from the total population. Meanwhile, 196,675 individuals have completed the second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine which is 43.4% from the total population.

As part of the efforts of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to accelerate the increase in vaccination rates towards achieving the target of at least 80% of the population in the country completing the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination before the end of 2021, the Ministry of Health will add-on vaccination slots in all vaccination centres. Starting Tuesday, 5th of October 2021, the National Vaccination Programme will add-on 2,500 doses of COVID-19 vaccine injections per day. The service is open to all citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam including the elderly, pregnant mothers and differently-abled persons; except those under the age of 18 years old. Priority is given to those who have difficulty in booking the first dose vaccination slots through the BruHealth app. The service is provided by bookings which can be done via WhatsApp only. Slots between 8 in the morning to 12 noon can be made at 7460025; Slots between 12 noon until 4 in the afternoon at 7460026 and slots between 4 in the afternoon to 8 at night at 7460027.

The booking time will commence on Monday, 4th of October 2021 and the operation hours to receive bookings are on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, from 8 in the morning to 12:00 noon only. Successful bookings will receive an SMS from the Ministry of Health within 24 hours from the day of booking.

Any individual who does not possess BruHealth or BruHIMS at the time of booking, they will be arranged to get the vaccination at four vaccination centres, namely Indoor Stadium Vaccination Centre; Learning and Development Centre at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Vaccination Centre; Belalong Community Hall, Temburong Vaccination Centre and Seri Kenangan Hall, Tutong Town Vaccination Centre. They will also be required to undergo an art swab test 40 minutes before vaccination. Only those who have BruHealth and BruHIMS will be allowed to make a booking at Jubli Emas Bunut Health Centre Vaccination Centre and Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam Vaccination Centre.
