The country is currently at Southwest Monsoon, where Southwest wind gusts are expected to be more dominant and atmospheric conditions are usually relatively stable. The active weather conditions for the past few days are due to the influence of the La Nina Phenomenon in the region which causes changes in wind flow to blow from several directions, and humid atmospheric conditions cause the formation of active rain clouds.

According to Dayang Nurulinani Binti Haji Jahari, Acting Chief Meteorological Officer, uncertain whether condition is expected to continue until this weekend with rain or thunderstorms occurring occasionally, especially at night until early in the morning. Rain or thunderstorms are expected to be occasionally heavy and windy with wind speeds that can increase up to 40 kilometres per hour. Sea conditions are generally wavy at slight levels, below point 6 metre.

Members of the public are advised to take early precautionary measures in the event of active weather that are predicted to occur.
