65 New Cases, 1 New Cluster Detected, 198 Recovered

65 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of cases to 13,130.

There are 35 additional new cases to the 13 existing active clusters who are close contacts to previous positive cases. Meanwhile, 1 new cluster was detected which is an accommodation cluster involving 4 cases. Meanwhile 7 clusters are closed after no cases were detected for 28 days. The closed clusters are 4751; 4785; 5429; 6998; Rimba Complex; 3723 and 6625, bringing the total number of active clusters to 170. 26 new cases are still under investigation to determine the source of infection.

198 cases have recovered bringing the total number of those recovered to 11,289 cases with 1,752 active cases. Among the cases currently treated, six are in Category 5 and are treated at the Intensive Care Unit. All require the assistance of artificial ventilation with two requiring the help of an additional heart/lung machine, ECMO. Meanwhile, 13 Category 4 cases require oxygen assistance and are under close monitoring. In the past 24 hours, 5,159 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus bringing the total number of lab tests conducted since January 2020 to 504,954.
