5th ASEAN University Student Council Union Conference

As the future leaders of ASEAN, the Youth are urged to look into issues to expand digital access and narrow the digital divide, promote online learning and digital skills, as well as funding support to enable all ASEAN youth to embrace the new normal and to ensure no one is left behind in development.

The matter was stressed by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Senior Officials Meeting on Youth, SOMY Leader of Brunei Darussalam while officiating the Opening Ceremony of the 5th ASEAN University Student Council Union Conference, AUSCU in hybrid format. Also participating were His Excellency Ekkaphab Phanthavong, ASEAN Deputy Secretary General for the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community and Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council. The 3-day conference which began today is themed 'Youth Engagement: Prosperity of ASEAN in the Next-Normal'.
