232 packets of cigarettes were seized in a patrol conducted by uniformed agencies. The operation involved personnel from the 'C' Company Reserve Unit, Royal Brunei Police Force and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces through the Operasi Sepadu Task Force COVID-19.
The prohibited items were found at the forested area of Bukit Bujang Pahang, Kampung Menunggol, yesterday at 4.32 in the afternoon. During the patrol, two large plastic packages were found on the ground in a suspicious condition with a number of cigarettes packets of various brands. The contraband was taken to the Kampong Ayer Police Station, Royal Brunei Police Force for preliminary investigation and later handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
