His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office attended a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, Diamond Jubilee Celebration. The ceremony was held at Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, Second Minister of Defence; and Major General Udara Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the RBAF. Accompanying His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah was His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.
The ceremony began with the reading of Al-Qur'an verses, from Surah Al-Anfal verse 60 to 63 which was read by Private Mohd Zainul Arifin bin Haji Haminuddin.
The ceremony then continued with the mass Maghrib prayer, led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim also led a mass reading of the Surah Yaasin and Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran.
The grand celebration of the RBAF Diamond Jubilee Celebration will be held on the 31st of May 2021 at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien. The theme for this year's celebration is 'Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara'.
