As part of its corporate social responsibility activities in the month of Ramadhan, the Employees Trust Fund, TAP delegation, yesterday morning made a charity visit to several homes of underprivileged families in Brunei Muara District.
The delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as Chairman of TAP Board of Directors. One of the houses visited was the house owns by Awang Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mamit in Kampung Lumapas. Awang Abdul Rahman, 66 years old, lives in the house with his 5 children and 22 grandchildren. Since retiring, Awang Abdul Rahman has only worked in his vegetable garden to support his family.
During the visit, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports presented donations in the form of cash as well as basic daily necessities. The donation was the collections from TAP board members and staff aimed to assist the family in making preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya.
