Strengthen Education System

Strengthening the education system, providing basic necessities for the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and increase industrial activity were among the matters highlighted in the adjournment speeches by Members of the Legislative Council from among the Persons Who Have Achieved Distinction.

Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esung said education system in Brunei Darussalam, which is the house of knowledge, must continue to be strengthened and balanced, based on the Worldly and Hereafter needs.

Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arsad said micro, small and medium entrepreneurs such as street hawkers must be given attention by providing the basic necessities including modernising activities which can increase the productivity of their income.

Yang Berhormat Awang Ong Tiong Oh said administration in governance plays an important role as efficient, wise and transparent administration will produce sustainable results.

Yang Berhormat Architect Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman urged all important plans that have been implemented by certain parties to always be monitored closely. This include the enforcement and implementation of existing acts.

Yang Berhormat Dayang Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii said the increase in industrial activity through FDI, MSME's producers in the country has supported the progress of Brunei Economic Blueprint and industrial development in the four districts and provide more opportunities to the citizens.

Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari touched on environment and climate change. Alhamdulillah, there have been so many improvements in term of newly launched policy and protocol. It reflects the government's efforts and commitment as well as support from various private agencies and non-governmental organisations.

Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy bin Ahmad stated that the current career trend is to look for opportunities and better improvements. The non-traditional sector that did not exist before, now has provide more career opportunities.
