The First Meeting of the 17th Legislative Council in its tenth day yesterday approved the allocation for three more ministries namely the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and made as part of the Supply Bill 2021/2022 Schedule. The Council also deliberated on the allocation for National Development.
The morning session began with deliberations on several issues related to the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof in a respond to the query on the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Ministry of Education's initiatives in facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 explained the initiatives include cultivating digital interest and skills from the early stage.
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications through AITI and Ministry of Education has conducted several initiatives involving participation of primary and secondary school students. The collaboration was further enhanced with the Higher Education Institution on the 29th of September last year. AITI has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE to conduct Internet of Things, IOT, laboratory at Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus.
