The forum carrying the theme, 'Impact of Halal Food and Tourism Sector During in the period of COVID-19' is hoped to help and provide more information on alternative ways to solve problems in the Halal and Tourism Sector. The forum took place at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA's Auditorium yesterday morning.
The session was attended by Doctor Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, UNISSA'S Rector. Prior to the forum a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU was signed between UNISSA and Syarikat Halasalam Corporation Brunei Sendirian Berhad. The signing of the memorandum paves the way for increased coopoeration between the university and company in work placement training, workshops, seminars, forums and related fields. Today's forum gathered experts and industry practitioners in a discussion on the role of 'halal' as the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic. The panellists stressed the problems that arise during the period in the tourism and halal industries in the world. It also discussed the importance of the Halalan Thayyiban aspect as an effort to guard the integrity of Islam.
