His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Of Brunei Darussalam this morning made an unscheduled visit to the Royal Brunei Police Force's Special Operations Squad Complex in Kampung Sungai Akar.
During the visit, His Majesty stresses a number of matters that should be addressed and appropriate action taken by all relevant parties in the Royal Brunei Police Force. Among them are the force should have a strong training policy with training priority given to the Special Operation Squad, operations movement planning in formulating and setting the policy and standard related to PGK and leadership succession planning be undertaken quickly. In the titah, the Monarch stresses the PGK should always be sensitive to the people's hope on its personnel who are responsible in ensuring peace and security in the country.
Therefore, His Majesty says the Royal Brunei Police Force should have taken several initiatives and efforts to improve as well as increase the fitness level of the PGK personnel by improving training and requirements, particularly in logistics and infrastructure as well as guarding the image of the Royal Brunei Police Force in general after His Majesty's previous visit in October 2019.
