Review T.A.P and S.C.P Schemes

Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports highly upholds the titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on the Employees Trust Fund, TAP which still remains a general query. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of the TAP Board stated that TAP is currently conducting a re-assessment to review and ensure that the TAP and SCP schemes are relevant as well as assure its members in facing retirement.

Yang Berhormat said, what is also important is for the income replacement rate to be maintained, to ensure the ability of the members in being able to support themselves after retirement. The review process is in the final phase and will be expedited. At the same time, Yang Berhormat urged the Legislative Council to encourage its members to add on to the set savings through the voluntary contribution scheme introduced in 2011.
