The banking industry is the main pillar as facilitator to the public or any stakeholders to obtain a source for financial loans in generating development processes and other real estate development matters. During the Board Management Division BMD Roadshow to the Brunei Association of Banks, BAB, the Permanent Secretary for Planning, Land Use and Environment at the Ministry of Development, explained that the construction, real estate and banking industries need to carry out their respective roles and responsibilities more efficiently.
Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak further explained that the 3 industries must carry out their roles and responsibilities inline with the existing laws in order to protect the people through services provided by professionals and companies registered in the real estate industry. The session continued with a briefing by representatives from the Statutory Board. The Architects, Engineering Professionals and Material Surveyors Board have appointed 131 professional service providers in the field of construction as well as other industries to ensure the safety of the public. Meanwhile, the Board of Assessors and Real Estate Agencies has begun to control the assessment and real estate agency service profession which provide real estate assessment, management as well as marketing services. To-date there are 8 registered government assessors. Among those present were Yang Berhormat Architect Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Hj Abd Rahman, Member of the Legislative Council AND Awang Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Zakaria, Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure, Housing and Professional at the Ministry of Development.
