The Brunei Darussalam's International Women's Club and the Australian High Commission to Brunei Darussalam organised the International Women's Day Special Forum in conjunction with International Women's Day. The event took place yesterday afternoon at the Radisson Hotel in the capital.
Her Excellency Tiffany McDonald, Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam in her keynote address said women's choices could not be determined as they needed to think about their respective roles and how to stay competitive to enable choice to be sustained and reach world where gender does not determine choice that they have.
Several topics were also outlined in the special forum, including the importance of international women's day, issues facing by women and the role of women in leadership. The Forum was attended by 100 women comprising the honorary members of the club from several Embassies and High Commissions in the country and members of the Club.
