Bruneian students who are currently abroad are encouraged to take the COVID-19 vaccinations offered by the country where they are studying. The Ministry of Health also welcomed students to take their COVID-19 vaccinations upon their return.
Yang Berhormat said most countries offer vaccines for Bruneian students abroad. However, the vaccination programmes are in phases. For example, the United Kingdom places priority to senior citizens aged 70 and above for the vaccination programme, before offering it to those aged above 50 or 60. Therefore university students in their 20's will be in a later category. The Ministry encourages overseas students to get the vaccine while abroad when offered. If they can't, they can return to Brunei and get the vaccine here.
