The Construction Industry Job Marketplace 2.0 provided opportunities for locals especially graduates of educational institutions and job seekers to interact with prospective employers in the construction industry. More than 260 vacancies in the construction sector as well as other general positions were offered during the event.
The ARMECS Bridging Program which began last October aims to equip qualified local graduates with the skills, competencies and experience of working professionally in the construction industry. During the first 6 months of the apprenticeship period, they are trained by experts and consulting firms. They are also exposed in the three disciplines of the construction sector, namely Architectural; Mechanical and Electrical; as well as Civil and Structural.
