Land Transport Department Media Conference on ‘Nomborku’ Service

The Land Transport Department, LTD is introducing the 'NomborKu' service, an info website that displays vehicle licence plate numbers that can be applied through Open Tender. This was explained by Awang Haji Razaly bin Haji Saidon, Director of LTD in a media conference yesterday afternoon.

According to Awang Haji Razaly, members of the public who wish to apply for any of the displayed numbers can go the LTD Headquarters or LTD Kuala Belait Branch starting today, the 25th of February during operation hours. A special form can be obtained at LTD or LTD's website, and payment can be made in cash or using debit or credit cards. The service is an improvement carried out in phases, which will give a transparent service and facilitate the public's dealings with the department. LTD will introduce the next improvements in subsequent phases, including bi-lingual function and online payment.

Awang Haji Razaly explained that 'NomborKu' can be accessed at starting yesterday. Vehicle registration number will be displayed along with its respective price according to its category namely Normal Number, Silver Number, and Golden Number or Special Number. The displayed prices are either the minimal price set for each category, or the highest price tendered by the public who joined the closed tender but failed to settle the payment.

In regard to a fatal accident in Jalan Labu involving a motorcycle and a car yesterday, members of the public are reminded to always adhere to the road traffic regulations.
