The Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, has signed a Memorandums of Understanding, MoU with 12 automotive companies, enabling the students to undergo training in order to fulfil industry standards and requirements as well as the demand for a skilled workforce. The function took place yesterday afternoon at the IBTE Mechanical Campus.
The signing of the MoU was for two IBTE programmes namely N-Tec Apprenticeship in Automotive Technician and N-Tec Apprenticeship in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Witnessing the signing was Awang Muhammad Saufi bin Awang Haji Ibrahim, Acting Commissioner of Labour. The MoUs for both programmes were signed by Doctor Haji Mohd Zambri bin Haji Sabli, Acting Director of Technical Education, Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE. Meanwhile, signing for the companies were the respective company managers. The 12 automotive companies involved in the MoU are Ams Oil Pro Auto Services, Bengkel Kereta Berakas, Gadong Autoparts, GHK Motors, Grands Motors, Jati Transport, NBT Brunei, Premier Motors, QAF Motors, Setia Motors, Sin Hing Auto, T.C.Y Motors and 2 Building Services companies, Aconkleen Company and Daniel Engineering and Supply.
