His Majesty’s Unscheduled Visit

During the unscheduled visit to Politeknik Brunei, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam proceeded to tour several education facilities and infrastructures.

Among the first to be visited by His Majesty were the Administrative Section, Library and School of Business.

Politeknik Brunei began operations in January 2012 and continues to focus towards improving the teaching and learning quality of its programmes.

Politeknik Brunei also continues to equip its students with holistic, relevant and high quality education and training to contribute towards the development and progress of the country's socio-economy in order to accomplish the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035.

The progress of the 4.0 Revolution's technology has impacted the people's lives and other changes. His Majesty's visit to the school showed the importance of the teachers and students' preparedness in leading the 4.0 Revolution.

As one of the Public Higher Education Institutions, Politeknik Brunei is part of essential efforts towards generating a conducive economic landscape in the country and overseas investors.

From Politeknik Brunei, His Majesty visited the IBTE Business Campus in Gadong. With 540 students, the school offers Higher National Technical Education Certificate HNTec courses in Business and Finance and Office Administration as well as National Technical Education Certificate, NTeC courses in Business and Administration.

IBTE Business Campus has two branches, the IBTE Business Campus, Gadong and IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus, Seria. The IBTE Business Campus equips its students with skills in Business and Finance as well as help them develop various other vocational skills.

His Majesty ended the tour at the IBTE School of Aviation in Berakas. With more than 260 students, the school also plays an important role in providing the country with highly skilled manpower needed in the country's socio-economic development.

His Majesty's visit to the technical education institutions today will impact on other educational institutions in the country and motivate them to enhance their capacities and contributions to the people and country.
