The welfare of converts or muallafs in the country is always given due to attention by various parties. As part of the continued attention and care, a convert in the Tutong district has received housing assistance from donations by the Charity Division of Former Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College Hostel Residents Group. This morning, the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs held a Kesyukuran Ceremony and the Handing over of Amal Darul Muttaqin House Key. The event took place at Jalan Kuala Ungar Penapar, Mukim Rambai in Tutong District.
The House Key was presented to Awang Haji Muhd Asyraf bin Masor by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arsad, Member of The Legislative Council as a Chairman Committee of Former Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College Hostel Residents Group Charity Projects to Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Md Salleh, Director of Islamic Da'wah Centre, who later handed it over to Awang Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Ajak, leader of the Da'wah Group, Al-Minhaaj Centre and Awang Haji Muhd Asyraf bin Masor.
The 60 square metres house costs 22 thousand dollars while electricity is supplied through the Electrical Department's Converts Assistance Scheme. The construction of the house began in May 2020 and was completed last December. Apart from accommodation, the house will also be used for Fardhu Ain Classes for converts who live nearby. The classes will be organized by the Da'wah Group, Al-Minhaaj Centre.
