Sovereign’s Parade Luncheon

From the Parade Ground, His Majesty was invited to the Dewan Istiadat, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces for a luncheon.

During the luncheon, His Majesty received a Pasambah from the 19th Intake Officer Cadets which carries the theme 'Miftah Annajah' or Key to Success. Also presented to His Majesty was the 19th Intake Officer Cadets' Journey that highlights their journey during the 52 weeks training.

His Majesty then received the 'Junjung Ziarah' from the newly commissioned Officer Cadets amnd their parents led by a 'Professionally Qualified Officer', Captain Nurbazilah binti Haji Jamaludin who completed three months of training at the Officer Cadet School on the 19th of June 2020.

During today's Sovereign's Parade, 40 Officer Cadets were commissioned as Royal Brunei Land Force Officers, 14 as Royal Brunei Navy Officers and 19 as Royal Brunei Air Force Officers. The success of these Officer Cadets is a big achievement because they had succeeded in overcoming tough challenges.

The completion of their training adds more young officers who will continue the leadership of the RBAF. These Officer Cadets are the successors of a strong, cultured and professional leadership. The young Officers will become 'role models' not only to the people they lead but also to the community.

Parents and families were also proud of the Officer Cadets who will serve the nation and the people. Their success was also the result of the role and support of their parents, guardians and other relatives.

Before departing, His Majesty signed a commemorative parchment.

The 52-week of training was full of challenges and obstacles. It is a highly valued life changing experience that also shaped true leaders. His Majesty's presence reflected His Majesty's great care to the development and achievements of the Officer Cadet School of the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
