The Ministry of Religious Affairs is taking several measures to improve the process of aid distribution to the needy. The issue was among matters shared by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs during the Goodwill Meeting Session Between the Members of Legislative Council and Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Goodwill Meeting is an annual forum that aims to enhance the knowledge of the Members of the Legislative Council on the ministry's development and achievements. It also provides a clearer picture on how the ministry handles challenges.
The delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Religious Affairs. In his welcoming speech, Yang Berhormat Pehin spoke about efforts to provide aid quickly to the needy.
Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs also outlined three major projects of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Strategic Plan 2020-2024, namely Strengthening the Maqasid or Objectives of Syari'ah in The Management and Administration of Brunei Darussalam, Propagation of the Meanings and Interpretation of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith, Empowerment of Waqaf or Endowment for the Country's Prosperity. The goodwill meeting and discussions took place at the Multaqa Hall, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
