82 new students enrolled at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute this year. Registration for Year 7 students took place yesterday afternoon.
41 male students registered at the institute's male hostel foyer, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha. Taking a closer look at the student's registration session was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
The students were accompanied with their parents or guardians during registration and placed at the designated hostel rooms. All students are required to reside at the hostel for the duration of their studies. They are allowed to return home once a week and during term and public holidays.
Meanwhile, registration for Year 7 female students of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute took place at the girl's hostel in the Ong Sum Ping Condominium complex in the capital. 41 female students were enrolled for this year's session.
The students expressed their gratefulness for being selected to enter the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.
The students also described the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute as a centre to enhanced their Quran reading skills.
