Despite the major implications and challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Brunei Darussalam still manages to drive its national priorities. One such priority is the accessibility of education for all. Every school and higher education institution have adapted methods to ensure teaching and learning are not disrupted by adapting to working remotely and integrating technologies to allow education and training to be conducted through various forms of blended learning. In this regard, Universiti Brunei Darussalam is embracing the spirit of inclusivity by holding a career fair via face to face and online participation for all in line with the country's vision of transforming into a Smart Nation. The matter was voiced by Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education during the Opening Ceremony of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD Career Fair 2021.
Meanwhile, Dayang Nurathirah Salihah binti Haji Md Salleh, Co-Chairperson for the UBD Career Fair said that in its sixth installment the career fair is taking a blended approach which provides exhibitors a web-based platform to conduct sessions with students, alumni and potential employees.
The Career Fair organised by UBD's centre of Networking, Employment, and Career Training, UBD CONECT, with the support of the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement, is held until this Saturday. Throughout the 5 day career fair, several venues on campus will be provided for walk-in interviews.
