The Brunei-China Friendship Association, BCFA will continue as an organisation that impacts widely, deeply and significantly on relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China while at the same time fulfilling the aspirations of the leaders of both countries. This was stressed by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports during the 6th Brunei-China Friendship Association's New Leadership Swearing-In Ceremony for the 2021-2023 Session. According to Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, in order to further enhance their achievements, it is vital that the new leadership continues and widens the scope of areas that have been explored and led together.
The event began with the 6th Brunei-China Friendship Association New Leadership Swearing-in Ceremony for the 2021-2023 Session. It was led by Dr Muhammad Firdaus bin Abdul Rahman, the association's President. The ceremony also witnessed the signing and presentation of certificates of appointment to the new leaders.
Meanwhile, Her Excellency Yu Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the country in her address shared on the achievements during 30 years of Brunei-China diplomatic relations.
The President of BCFA among other things said that as the local association which helps in enhancing friendly relations among the peoples of the two countries, it strives to organise joint-venture projects with their partners. The event took place at a hotel in Gadong yesterday afternoon.
