787 new students enrolled for Sanah or Year 5 at Arabic schools nationwide. The registration session took place yesterday morning.
From the figure, the Bandar Seri Begawan Arabic Preparatory School received 356 new Year 5 students and 293 students enrolled at Rimba Arabic School. Meanwhile, Ma'had Islam Brunei in Tutong received 89 new students; 35 students enrolled at Belait Arabic School, and 14 students enrolled at Temburong Arabic School.
Present to witness the student's registration session at Bandar Seri Begawan Arabic Preparatory School was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present were Permanent Secretary and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Pengiran Muhamad Aminuddin bin Pengiran Haji Hussein, Head of Arabic School Section, Islamic Studies Department shared that based on the Primary School Assessment or PSR 2020, students of the Arabic Schools has shown an excellent performance with over 97% of them has obtained grade A to C. The Islamic Studies Department will continue to implement several initiatives in maintaining the excellence of the students in PSR based on the Department's Strategic Planning.
Meanwhile Principal of Bandar Seri Begawan Arabic Preparatory School in an interview with RTB said that the concept of ta'aruf week is based on the principal of giving experience and knowledge to students on the daily routine of the school.
