The launch of recreational parks recently are seen as a good effort and an added value to hiking enthusiasts. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Awang Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence in an interview with RTB during the launch of Bukit Dadap Recreational Park explained that the initiative made by the Kampung Kilanas Consultative Council is the best approach in encouraging the practise of a healthy lifestyle. Yang Berhormat Pehin also advised hikers to be aware of the safety aspects and more cautious, especially during rainy weather.
The launching of the recreational park was officiated by the Second Minister of Defence. The opening ran concurrently with the planting of a fruit tree to commemorate the occasion. The 12-kilometres trail is divided into two main parts namely hill trail and waterfall trail. There are 8 wasai or waterfall can be found in the park, among them Wasai Biabas, Tasik Laboi, Wasai Lumut Mapan, Wasai Dang Umai and Wasai Terjun Menyusup. Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Sabtu and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohimin bin Haji Johari@ Jahari, Members of the Legislative Council.
