The implementation of social distancing measures specifically in performing the Friday Prayer is one of the efforts taken by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Since its implementation several months ago, members of the public especially congregants are required to adhere to all the directives issued.
Before entering the mosque, surau or religious hall, takmir committees will inform and remind congregants to adhere to the directives issued. This includes scanning QR code to obtain the green or yellow code, undergo body temperature checks, wear face mask, use hand sanitiser and bring their own large prayer mat.
Solidarity and continuous cooperation from mosque congregants are vital to continue curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country, and ensure that the congregants can perform prayers smoothly.
