Brunei Darussalam Counselling Association, PERKAB has organised a National Counselling Seminar related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The seminar is part of resources for chanelling information on counselling and intervention in addressing mental health problems, in particular those related to COVID-19.
The seminar was officially opened by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. During the event, panellists received certificates of appreciation and souvenirs.
The first keynote paper titled ‘Sunnatullah and Returning to Sunnah’ was delivered by the Rector of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB. Doctor Haji Adnan bin Haji Basar shared that COVID-19 made people realise the importance of cleanliness and social ethics taught by Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Meanwhile, Retired Major Rusli bin Bujang, President of PERKAB in his keynote paper titled “Interpreting Divine Intervention and Vaccine In Crisis Situation’ explained how the COVID-19 pandemic was controlled in the country with the Whole of Nation Approach, Proven and Trusted Leadership and the Solidarity of the People and Residents.
The event which carried the theme, “Interpreting COVID-19 Pandemic from the Psychosocial and Emotional Perspective’ was attended by officers and staff from several ministries.
