Thought on innovations that can contribute towards the development of aviation was among matters discussed during the Civil Aviation Forum 2020. The forum organised by the Department of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications was held in conjunction with the International Civil Aviation Day 2020 which is celebrated every 7th of December. With its theme "Advance Innovation for Aviation Development", the forum took place yesterday morning at the Datastream Digital, DST Sendirian Berhad headquarters.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The Forum was divided into two sessions with discussion topics namely Innovation in the World of Aviation and Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Aviation Industry and How Innovation Helps Overcome Pandemics. Nine local and oversea panelists joined the forum including Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council representing the Youth Professional Networks, as well as representatives from the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry, AITI, Royal Brunei, Datastream Digital, DST Sendirian Berhad, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, CAAS, Ministry of Health, Department of Civil Aviation and Department of Tourism Development. The panelists shared views on their respective expertise, experience as well as discussed their thoughts on innovation that can contribute towards the development of aviation.
During the ceremony, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications also presented souvenirs of appreciation to former Directors of Civil Aviation who have contributed services to the Department of Civil Aviation.
