In his welcoming remarks, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed said the exhibition serves as an opportunity for the citizens to view familiar aspects of beautiful Brunei through foreign diplomats' lenses. He said the exhibition is inspired by the famous saying that: "a picture is worth more than one-thousand words" especially in the framework of relationships where people do not share the same language or culture.
Organised in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD, the joint exhibition showcases one hundred and nine differently themed photos that were contributed by 19 diplomatic missions accredited to Brunei Darussalam.
Her Royal Highness then launched the exhibition.
The exhibition is held as an appreciation of the notable development in bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and accredited resident diplomatic missions to the country and out of gratitude to His Majesty's Government and people of Brunei Darussalam for displaying great hospitality to foreign diplomats. The exhibition also features beautiful scenery and special moments that foreign diplomats enjoy in Brunei Darussalam. The exhibition is open to the public until the 26th of this month.
