Appreciation Ceremony for Brunei Islamic Religious Council Real Estate Body and Subsidiaries

In the period of over 25 years, the Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam Brunei or the Brunei Islamic Religious Council Real Estate Body has conducted a number of development and Baitulmal property projects, especially in in investment and real estate. Speaking at the Appreciation Ceremony for the Brunei Islamic Religious Council Real Estate Body and its Subsidiaries, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs as Chairman of the Badan Tanmiah Brunei Board of Directors said until this moment, Badan Tanmiah has implemented 18 real estate projects, and this year, two projects were completed namely the construction of two units of two-storey houses in Kampung Rimba and the construction of additional school building and surau in Kampung Anggerek Desa.

The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs said in facing the changes, business operation showed rapid growth that are more complex and challenging in nature. In this regard, Badan Tanmiah is not exempted from facing it, and must take proactive as well as effective measures to diversify and penetrate businesses that are not only dominated by investment and real estate products. They also need to explore and join in other businesses that can increase revenue for 2021 and the subsequent years.

Souvenirs were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as President of Brunei Islamic Religious Council. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Ingenieur Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Minister of Development; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syari'e Judge and member of the Badan Tanmiah Harta Brunei Board of Directors; and Dato Seri Paduka Architect Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Minister of Development.
