'The BIBD Youth Empowerment Summit' or BIBD YES came to a close last night, with the participating youth being given a rare opportunity to share their experiences with a panel of government Ministers at the BIBD YES Closing Dinner.
The 2-kilometres BIBD YES Fun Run began at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge. Present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy as Chairman of BIBD; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications AND Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
During the closing session, participants were invited to share their takeaways, learnings and share their experiences with a panel of government Ministers from the summit. The two-day summit consisted of plenary sessions, speaking about topics that highlighted the power that the youth holds towards further strengthening the need to empower the youth's mind-sets.
