Today's Muslim youth live in a very challenging era and are often associated with social issues and immoral activities. This requires them to be equipped with strong faith and knowledge on their journey to become the country's future agents of change. A related programme, the Muslim Youth Camp 2020 was organised in conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2020 and ended yesterday afternoon. The closing ceremony was held at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.
Certificates were handed over to the participants by Awang Haji Mohd. Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. 150 mosque youths participated in the 2-day programme.
Earlier, Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs said organising the various programmes that benefit the youth was a way of implementing religious responsibilities properly.
The programme was filled with various useful activities such as Tazkirah, motivational, personal services, visits and charity work. Its goal included guiding the youth and nurturing healthy relations among the community. It provided knowledge to transform the youth as the future hopes of religion, people and country. The event was also attended by Awang Haji Zulzalani bin Haji Osman, Acting Director of Tourism Development.
