The Anti-Corruption Bureau, ACB celebrates International Anti-Corruption Day on 9th of December every year. The celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day is to commemorate the commitment of Brunei Darussalam as a member state to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
In conjunction with this year’s celebration, the Anti-Corruption Bureau held a recitation of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman and Al-Marhum Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah. It was held at the Royal Mausoleum. The ceremony was attended by senior officers, officers and staffs of the Bureau.
In addition to this year’s event, in line with the duties of the Bureau to enlist and foster public support in combating corruption, the Bureau conducted Anti-Corruption Poster Drawing Competition which was opened to the public from 17th August 2020 to 14th November 2020. The competition was divided into two categories, namely Category A which is Digital Drawing opened for those aged 19 and above and Category B which is Hand Drawing opened for those aged 12 to 18 years. The Prize Presentation Ceremony for Anti-Corruption Poster Drawing Competition will be held on the 12th December 2020 at the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s Main Office.
