Every person probably brings a different experience home from an overseas visit. For local ‘Cherryflawsome’ entrepreneur, Dayang Nur Iffah binti Haji Awang Noordin, a holiday in South Korea has inspired her to start a business that introduces the various brands of Korean products to the country. The products are marketed through her own digital boutique.
Although no member of her family is involved in the business world, Dayang Nur Iffah has decided to venture into entrepreneurship. Her experience in South Korea was the dawn of her life as a businesswoman. Using the social media platform, she emerged as the founder of ‘Cherryflawsome’ and markets her products through the digital boutique. Dayang Nur Iffah said her visit to South Korea in 2018 made her think it would be ‘cool’ or a good idea to introduce Korean fashion in Brunei because she feels it suits her and others her age.
The young entrepreneur also strives to ensure the products she sells suit the local community. On the minus side, like other entrepreneurs she is not exempt from challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, including delayed shipment of goods.
For other young people, never tire of trying and striving for success. Your own talents can be used to generate income. Where there is a will, there is a way, and that includes a route towards financial independence.
