Four Detained For Illegal Drug Activities

Four people were arrested in raids conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau, NCB, at two separate locations. The raids which were carried out on the 17th of August 2020 saw the arrests of three men, one local and two foreign nationals at Kampung Kiulap and one local female at Kampung Rimba. The suspects are aged between 25 and 53 years.

 

Items seized during the arrests at Kampong Kiulap were several plastic packages containing crystalized substances believed to be Methylamphetamine or Syabu, a Class A controlled drug weighing more than 17 grams with an estimated value of more than 3 thousand 500 dollars. Also found were several utensils believed to be used for drug consumption; empty plastic packets, digital weighing scale, mobile phones believed to be used for drug activities as well as cash amounting to 1 thousand and two dollars believed to be proceeds from drug activities. A search of the crime scene in Kampong Rimba also found one packet containing crystalized substances believed to be Methylamphetamine or Syabu, a Class A controlled drug and a utensil believed to be used for drug consumption. Also found were 193 cartons of cigarettes of various brands, which have been handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigations.
