17 Orders have been listed and these orders have received the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to be used. Item 8 which is the first stipulation under Clause 83-7 from the Brunei Darussalam Constitution 1959 has been proposed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs and was approved by the Members of the Legislative Council yesterday morning.
Yang Berhormat Pehin informed the Speaker and members of the Legislative Council that a part of the order have already been carried out and used in 2019 and the rest will be implemented this year. The orders have been published in the government gazette according to regulations under the Brunei Darussalam constitution and have been reviewed thoroughly with the objective of ensuring it is carried out in a proper manner. As these orders have received the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Home Affairs is of the opinion, there is no need for further deliberations and that it should be approved. In short, the orders are listed in the Legislative Council paper, number 1 for 2020. As such, the Minister proposed for a resolution that says the council has made a resolution for clause 7 item 83 from the Brunei Darussalam Constitution 1959 that every order made under clause 3 item 83 from Brunei Darussalam Constitution deliberated in the meeting as paper number 1 for 2020 starts from the date of approval.
