Possession of Stolen Items Case

The Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF reminds that it is an offence to purposely abet or be involved in concealing stolen assets or items. This is following the arrest of a local man involved in possession of stolen items, namely 4 sports rims and a water jet unit taken from the compound of a house at Jalan Pasir Berakas. The RBPF received the report on the 16th of February.

Investigations found that the offender bought a water jet unit from a man believed to be the mastermind in the Jalan Pasir Berakas theft case. The accused has known that the item was stolen and wished to resell it to other buyers in hopes of a higher profit. According to Probationary Inspector Nur Iffah Nabilah binti Rosli @ Dessy Susanty binti Rosli, Traffic and Crime Investigation Officer, Berakas Police Station, 37 year old Mohammad Hanafi bin Haji Bagol was brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court and was sentenced to 8 months imprisonment starting from the 2nd of March.
