A man and a woman were detained following the finding of a small box believed to contain bullets at a house in Kampung Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme.
The two individuals were brought to the Special Investigation Unit, Crime Investigation Department for further investigation. Inspections were carried out on the house following information found on social media on a Facebook account user who uploaded two photos of a number of items believed to be bullets.
The Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF stressed that it is a serious offence under Brunei Darussalam laws for any individual to own, store or control any fire arms or bullets, including casings or any part of it. Any person found to abet individuals illegally possessing fire arms or bullets will also be sentenced to the same penalty. For any findings of fire arms or bullets, contact the police hotline 993 or any nearby police station, to avoid any incidents that can jeopardise safety.
