Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Distribution of the National Flag

The Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Distribution of the National Flag in conjunction with the 36th National Day celebration were also held in the four districts. At the Brunei Muara District, the ceremony was held at the Brunei Muara District Office.

The national flag was handed over by Awang Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, the Brunei Muara District Officer, to be hoisted by the Royal Brunei Police Force personnel. The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of the national flags and certificates of appreciation to mukim penghulus, associations, private companies and individuals. Also present were members of the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile, the Menara Cendera Kenangan in Kuala Belait was the focus for the ceremony in the Belait District. The national flag was handed over by Awang Ramlee bin Haji Jamudin, the Belait District Officer, to be hoisted by the Royal Brunei Police Personnel. It ran concurrently with the presentation of the national flags to the mukim Penghulus in the Belait District and participants of the Youth Love the Nation programme. Also in attendance were members of the Legislative Council.

In the Tutong District, a similar ceremony was held at the Civic Centre Complex area. The flag was handed over to Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, the Tutong District Officer, who later handed it over to the Royal Brunei Police Force personnel to be hoisted. The ceremony also saw the presentation of the national flags to mukim penghulus and acting penghulus in Tutong District as well as representative of the Youth Love the Nation programme. Also in attendance were members of the Legislative Council.

The flag hoisting ceremony for the Temburong District took place at the festive stage in Bangar Town. The national flag was handed over by Awang Abdul Ghani bin Haji Othman, Acting Temburong District Officer, to be hoisted by the Royal Brunei Police personnel. The ceremony was followed by the presentation of the national flags to the mukim penghulus in the district, head of Temburong district departments and Youth Love the Nation programme. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, member of the Legislative Council.
