Brunei Darussalam will be represented by eight primary school pupils in the Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa 2019 - 2020 which will take place in April in Japan. Eight of them were the best participants in the same competition at the national level. All 24 Asian countries will compete in Japan for three awards. The competition is organised by the Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, Asia Pacific UNESCO Federation Association and Club and UNESCO Association National Federation in Japan. Prizes presentation ceremony for the national level competition took place this morning at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.
Prizes were presented by Awang Mohammad Norilham bin Haji Jais, Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education of the Ministry of Education. One thousand, Five Hundred and 65 participations were received in the competition with the theme "Here is My Life".
87 pupils also received the best participation prizes from each participating school comprising of private primary schools and primary schools under the Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The competition aims to provide opportunity to students from around the world to understand the daily life of Asian people. The prize presentation ceremony was organised by the Co-Curriculum Education Department.
