Various opportunities and pathways to higher studies available and offered in and outside the country will be showcased during the Higher Education Expo 2020 next month. The expo is intended as a platform for students wishing to further their education and to interact directly with education institutes and agencies. Dayang Siti Zuliana binti Haji Abdul Samad, Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Education made the disclosure during a media conference at the Ministry of Education.
Dayang Siti Zuliana said to date 83 institutes of higher education, education services agencies as well as other related government and private agencies will take part in the expo. They comprise of 13 local public and private higher education institutes of higher education, 36 overseas institutions, 23 government and private agencies, 8 local and foreign education services agencies and 3 foreign missions and representatives. The Ministry of Education will also provide the latest information such as the Higher Education Centralised Admission System, HECAS, Government Scholarships, Education Loan Assistance Scheme, (SBPP), teacher selection and recruitment, application for course and qualification accreditation, careers and others.
The 2-day expo will take place at the Birdexin Jerudong starting on the 2nd of February. Organised for the 5th time by the Ministry of Education its main focus is to be a Higher Education "One Stop Information Centre" that will gather local and foreign government and private education institutes as well as agencies under one roof.
