In Islam, man is not given the right or power to end his own life. However, Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala provides the way for people towards Husnul Khatimah or to achieve a good ending. Anyone who wishes a blessed death must always obey Allah and follow the Almighty's guidance, including loving Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, and pray with hope and determination that Allah will grant blessings, pardon and acceptance. The matter was the highlight of the "Masjidku Ma'mur, Negara Berkat" programme held yesterday morning at Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.
The congregation included Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Haji Mohd. Serudin bin Haji Timbang; Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the ministry.
The tazkirah or talk titled, "Sentiasa Memohon Husnul Khatimah" was delivered by Haji Mohammad Sahri bin Haji Sulaiman; Mosque Affairs Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The programme was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs with the support of the Prime Minister's Office.
