Questions on whether renewable energy or are humans the reason for global warming or is it a natural phenomenon are extensively discussed by sixth form students during the Preliminary Rounds of The Great Discussion.
FIVE sixth form centres participating at the preliminary rounds. They are Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong. Pusat Tingkatan Enam Meragang, Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College and Sayyidina Ali Secondary School. The Great Discussion is a part of a wider Education is GREAT campaign that runs across the 10 ASEAN member countries, is an opportunity to celebrate the UK and Brunei's long standing educational links and to support Brunei Vision 2035 to produce a future generation of confident leaders. The theme for The Great Discussion is Climate Change which is aligned with Brunei's ambition towards a low carbon the semi-finals will be held on the 21st of this month, followed by the final round on the 30th of this month. The Great Discussion is co-hosted by Department of Co-Curricular Education at the Ministry of Education and the British High Commission in Brunei with support from CFBT Education Services and Standard Chartered Bank.
