The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2020 Ended

The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2020 ended yesterday afternoon. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism as Chairman of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2020 said that Brunei Darussalam are honoured to host the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2020. He also congratulated all the ASEAN Tourism Awards recipients this year, under the categories of Green Hotel, Clean Tourist City, Meeting, Incentives, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) Venue and the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism.

Yang Berhormat highlighted the launching of the revamped ASEAN Marketing website, which will facilitate ASEAN's efforts further to meet the demands of digital tourism experiences and current trends of today's generation.

Yang Berhormat emphasised that the close cooperation with the private sectors, partners and local communities at the national and ASEAN level is very important in our effort towards sustaining the growth and development of our tourism sector.

Yang Berhormat then handed over the Chairmanship to The Kingdom of Cambodia, as the Host Country of the 40th ASEAN Tourism Forum 2021 with the theme "ASEAN - A Community of Peace and Shared Future".

His Excellency Dr. Thong Kon, Minister of Tourism of Cambodia in his speech said the theme "ASEAN-A community of peace and shared future" articulates Cambodia's commitment as a key stakeholder in the region's tourism eco-system.
