The 10 ASEAN member states worked together collectively to promote multi-country travel within the region, positioning Southeast Asia as a single destination as guided by ASEAN Tourism Marketing Strategy. The statement was made during the ASEAN Tourism Media briefing in conjunction with the ASEAN Tourism Forum yesterday.
The briefing also shared updates about ASEAN Marketing activities including the new ASEAN Tourism website, www.visitSEAsia.travel which was launched and designed to be more consumer-centric, modern, uncluttered and easy to navigate, with improved visual content. Besides that, the briefing also touched on several ASEAN Tourism plans for this year, including to continue efforts to raise awareness through using digital channels and partnerships. The plans include updates on ASEAN Tourism Marketing Partners namely ASEAN-China Centre and ASEAN-Japan Centre.
