Contract Signing Ceremony

The country's tourism in the country continues to grow rapidly. Yesterday afternoon, two contacts were signed to further develop and upgrade a number of areas in Temburong District that will become an added-value and new additions to the existing tourism products and activities in the said district. Apart from that, it will also create over 40 jobs in the next 5 years as well as business opportunities to the local residents and as the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Temburong District. The projects were signed between the Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and several companies at a ceremony held at the ministry.

The signing was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. The first contract namely 'The Investment, Development, Operation and Maintenance of a Luxury Eco-resort at Kampong Perdaya, Temburong and the Refurbishment, Operation and Maintenance of Old District Office at Bangar Town' was signed by Pengiran Haji Kamalrudzaman bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Ishak, Permanent Secretary at the ministry and Awang Haji Zulzalani bin Haji Osman, Acting Director of Tourism Development Department. Meanwhile, Eco-Green Development Sendirian Berhad was represented by Lim Wei, the company's director and Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, Member of the Legislative Council who is also the Principal Architect of Eco Bumi Arkitek.

Pengiran Haji Kamalrudzaman and Awang Haji Zulzalani also signed the second contract namely 'The Investment, Development, Operation and Maintenance of a River Centre at Kampung Batang Duri'. Sunshine Borneo Tours and Travel Sendirian Berhad was represented by Chieng Hock Kiet and Jerome Fang Yau Yong, the company's managing director and director.
